Join our busy logistics hub as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for accurately processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and safely. We need individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure and productive warehouse environment. Your contributions will be key to ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and our customers receive their orders on time.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry.
- Organize warehouse stock and ensure easy accessibility.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean and orderly.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer applications.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to safety standards and use of PPE.
- Attention to detail is critical for accuracy in all tasks.
