As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, accurately picking them according to order lists, and then carefully packing them for shipment. Maintaining accuracy and speed is essential to meet our operational demands and ensure customer satisfaction. Safety is a top priority, and all team members must adhere to strict safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product identification and quantity before packing.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for safe transit, selecting the right packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to the overall tidiness of the warehouse.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform frequent lifting and carrying of items, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Participate in inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts, as directed.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks.
- Report any damaged goods or operational issues to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and a good attendance record.
