Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics. This role is critical for ensuring that all orders are accurately processed, packaged, and dispatched efficiently and on time. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding Safety standards. You will be responsible for verifying shipment details, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position involves some manual handling and requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude and the ability to problem-solve are highly valued. Experience in shipping procedures and basic computer skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and confirm all outbound shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping labels and customer information.
- Package items securely for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and communicate status updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized records of all outgoing shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in inventory management and warehouse organization as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting and moving of packages.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
