Join our busy warehouse in Richmond, Virginia, as a Picker/Packer and become a key player in our order fulfillment process. Your primary responsibility will be accurately picking items from inventory shelves to fulfill customer orders and then carefully packing them for shipment. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to quality. You will work in a dynamic logistics environment, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and dispatched on time. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented and can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. You will be expected to maintain the organization of your assigned picking and packing stations. A strong understanding of inventory systems and procedures is beneficial. We prioritize the Safety of our employees and expect adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. Expect to engage in regular Lifting of items, so physical stamina is important. Excellent communication skills will help you collaborate effectively with your team members and supervisors in this logistics role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Label packages with correct shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Follow all Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
