Join our team in Detroit, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will be responsible for reading order slips, locating items within the warehouse, and preparing them for dispatch. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. This position involves significant walking, standing, and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists and order details.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product accuracy against order requirements.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for the shipping department.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking and packing station.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear assigned PPE at all times during shifts.
- Support the overall warehouse Logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring consistent manual dexterity.
- Capability of Lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory principles.
- Willingness to follow Safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics environments is a plus.
