We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will be working with various types of materials, so a good understanding of inventory management is beneficial. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will be provided with all necessary training and the required PPE to ensure a safe working environment. This position involves frequent Lifting , bending, and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming inventory.
- Inspect goods for damages and discrepancies.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company and OSHA Safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse Logistics .
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory control.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE .
