We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. As a Material Handler, you will be involved in various tasks, including receiving, stocking, moving, and preparing materials for distribution. Your efforts directly contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. The job requires physical strength and endurance, as you will be expected to handle significant lifting and operate equipment like pallet jacks. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or operational issues.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
