We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our bustling Los Angeles, California warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products throughout the facility. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics network, ensuring that goods are in the right place at the right time. You will operate various types of warehouse equipment and maintain a high level of efficiency and safety in all tasks. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Load outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Participate in general warehouse upkeep and cleaning to ensure a safe and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks consistently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
