Our Portland, Oregon facility is looking for dedicated Material Handlers to join our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You'll operate various equipment to ensure products are organized, stored, and ready for distribution. This position is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and upholding our commitment to operational excellence in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into designated storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials, ensuring accuracy.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Follow all guidelines related to the safe use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment is required.
- Valid forklift certification may be required depending on equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and logistics processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to using appropriate PPE at all times.
