We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and shipping orders to our valued customers. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and correct deliveries. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain efficient workflow and uphold our commitment to quality service. Responsibilities include verifying shipping orders, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit, operating shipping equipment, and maintaining accurate shipping records. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of logistics processes are essential. You will also be responsible for coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to meeting deadlines. Adherence to all company policies and safety regulations is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Verify and process all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate shipping software and equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
