Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Material Handler, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and operational flow. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily production targets and uphold the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stage outgoing shipments for transport.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and security.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of workplace Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE .
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding Logistics environment.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
