We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our busy Chicago, Illinois facility. This role is critical to our Logistics chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. You will work closely with our warehouse team to manage the flow of materials and maintain the integrity of our stock. This position involves some Lifting and requires the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all company protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Unload trucks and assist with the staging of incoming materials.
- Communicate any receiving issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory put-away as needed.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including WMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
- Familiarity with PPE.
- Knowledge of Logistics operations is preferred.
