We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in San Francisco, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage products according to warehouse layout and order requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safe material handling techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings.
- Familiarity with using PPE correctly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
