Job Summary:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Supervisor - Projects will direct the activities of the project groups with a focus on, but not limited to, project development, execution, and providing engineering coordination for plant project work to improve plant reliability and reduce production costs. The Engineering Supervisor - Projects will lead major long-term projects at the site to help achieve the vision of safe production of ammonia-based products. In addition, the Engineering Supervisor - Projects will provide supervision and direction; therefore, proven mentoring and performance management experience is essential to ensure continued support and guidance to the Engineering team.
Job Description:

The Engineering Supervisor - Projects will lead major long-term projects at the site to help achieve the vision of safe production of ammonia-based products. In addition, the Engineering Supervisor - Projects will provide supervision and direction; therefore, proven experience in mentoring and performance management is essential to ensure continued support and guidance to the Engineering team.
What you'll do:
  • A c t i v e l y suppo rt s and p a rt i c i pa t es i n a l l E n v i r on m en t , Health, and Safety initiatives and activities, and promotes EHS programs and ensures c o m p li ance wi t h i n t he Project Engineering group.
  • R espo n s i b l e f or p l ann i n g and o r g an i z i ng all project w o r k w i t h r espect t o engineering projects . Within these projects, the Engineering Supervisor - Projects will oversee and assign activities to the project group and construction supervisors to ensure that CF standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance are met.
  • Responsible for leading multidisciplinary project teams to organize, schedule, execute project plans, and monitor Engineering & Construction contractors to ensure that all plant replacements, modifications, and additions are performed in strict conformity with design specifications and applicable code requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management and implementation of engineering projects . This includes confirming project scopes, preparing project estimates, generating AFE documents, tracking cost & scope changes, providing schedule & spending forecasts, updating engineering documents , and completing project closeouts.
  • Support the development and coordination of engineering work for plant turnarounds and scheduled outages.

P r epa r es and reviews various project statuses and cost reports and p r o v i des ade q u a t e co n t r ol f or t he s t o r a g e and r e t r i e v al of e n g i nee r i ng da t a and i n f o rm a t ion.

Required Skills:
  • BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At l east 10 years of experience related to engineering in an industrial plant with a P. Eng license in Ontario . Previous exposure in a continuous chemical production or refinery environment will be an asset.
  • P r e v i ous m e n t o r i ng or s u pe r v i so r y e x pe r i ence will be a requirement .
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proven technical and supervisory skills.

Salary
Estimated base pay for the position is typically between: Estimated base pay for the position is typically between $125,000.00 to $166,600.00
The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range.
