We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring that inventory is properly stored. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Stage materials for outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently to prevent damage.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment is required.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Understanding of logistics principles and inventory control.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Must wear designated PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
