We are looking for a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring that materials are organized and readily available for distribution. This position is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that goods are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and has experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery. You must be committed to following all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to ensure proper storage and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancy reporting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
