Join our dedicated team as a Material Handler in Sacramento, California! We are looking for a physically fit and reliable individual to support our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, operating equipment, and ensuring that inventory is stored and accessed efficiently. This role is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. Your efforts directly impact our operational efficiency and the timely processing of orders.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move, sort, and stack materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to company policies and safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and maintain a safe work environment.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support the logistics team in various warehouse tasks.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all company protocols.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
