We are seeking a reliable and certified Forklift Operator to become an integral part of our logistics operations in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to support all warehouse functions. This includes receiving, moving, staging, and shipping materials and products. You will play a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the timely flow of goods through our facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong situational awareness, and is committed to upholding the highest standards of workplace Safety. A valid forklift certification and prior experience are required. This position involves operating various types of forklifts, navigating busy warehouse aisles, and may require occasional manual Lifting of items. We prioritize employee safety and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), along with ongoing Safety training and reinforcement. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stage materials for various warehouse processes, including picking and shipping.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and updating system data.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and protocols.
- Perform minor manual tasks and Lifting as required to support operations.
- Wear and maintain all provided PPE at all times.
