Join our fast-paced logistics team in Washington, D.C., as a Shipping Clerk! We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the outbound shipping process efficiently and accurately. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and ensuring all packages are correctly labeled and dispatched. This role is critical to ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. You will interact daily with various departments and external shipping partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. While this role is primarily administrative, it involves some physical aspects, including occasional Lifting of smaller packages and moving them to shipping areas. We prioritize workplace Safety and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training on safe work practices. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify outgoing orders against shipping manifests for accuracy.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipments.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Ensure all packages are properly secured and labeled for transit.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform occasional light Lifting of packages.
