Support a cutting?edge Cyber Program by guiding the definition, implementation, and delivery of capabilities for U.S. CYBER COMMANDS Persistent Cyber Range Training Environment (PCTE). Based in
Orlando, FL , this role focuses on world?class solutions in a collaborative, inclusive environment. Essential Job Functions Work through an agile?based software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, and implementation. Recommend solutions and corrective actions for technical and software issues. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less?experienced engineering staff. Apply software engineering standards and assist teams in system/subsystem development and documentation. Adhere to project schedules, technical standards, and design principles. Diagnose and debug front?end and back?end software issues efficiently. Communicate problems and solutions verbally and electronically with the team and external stakeholders. Plan, conduct, direct, and evaluate software projects across an agile development cycle.
Basic Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor of Science in a relevant field and ten (10) years of related software development/design experience. Software Development:
Hands?on expertise with Java/C++ and object?oriented programming. Desired experience with JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, React, Angular, Linux shell scripting, and cloud?based infrastructures. Ability to apply software development process fundamentals in an agile environment. Communication Skills:
Effective communication of technical and programmatic issues; strong organizational skills; self?starter who can work independently. Security Clearance Requirement:
U. S. citizenship and a SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
Preferred Experience
Commercial software development and deployment experience. Containerization of applications, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Back?end development (node.js, Nginx, Apache, database servers). Secure web?based development. Agile development process and planning tools (Jira, Confluence). Git repositories and DevOps principles. Database design. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience. Experience with Amazon, Google, or similar platforms.
