Amentum is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team of passionate individuals in Warrenton, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission. Responsibilities include administering and maintaining Windows server environments, managing and supporting virtualization platforms, monitoring system performance, implementing backup strategies, ensuring systems comply with organizational policies, managing IP address allocation, collaborating with network engineers, monitoring critical network services, assisting in reviewing firewall rules, contributing to the planning and deployment of VPNs, troubleshooting shared infrastructure issues, serving as a primary point of contact for customer issues, providing responsive support to end-users, overseeing the lifecycle tracking of network systems and hardware assets, administering enterprise software deployments, providing training and guidance to end-users, continuously researching emerging technologies, and actively participating in cross-functional and special projects. Requirements include active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI, minimum 7 years of relevant Information Technology Experience, proven independence in executing projects, experience administering enterprise software deployments, hands-on experience with enterprise technologies, strong command of Group Policy, skilled in using PowerShell, experience in VMware and Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure, solid understanding of networking principles, experience implementing and managing data protection strategies, proven track record of identifying and recommending technology solutions, ability to work a 40-hour work week, ability to work overtime during critical peaks, ability to travel, familiarity with MS Office applications, exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Clearance Required: Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI. Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years of relevant experience. Required Certifications: Must possess one of the following 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certifications: Level II certs include - CCNA Security, GISCP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP. Level III certs include - CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in IT or related STEM field, experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA for foundational networking knowledge. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
