We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order fulfillment. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure that all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage and that all operations comply with company standards for safety and efficiency. We provide ongoing training and expect all operators to consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Perform tasks including occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Must be able to perform duties requiring occasional Lifting.
