Are you detail-oriented with strong organizational skills? We are looking for a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our Logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for ensuring that outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, packing orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. A commitment to Safety and efficiency is paramount in this position. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic Logistics operation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including generating shipping labels and documentation.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and printers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Properly wear and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the overall Logistics department in achieving shipping goals.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse/Logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills.
