Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual with experience operating forklifts? We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator in our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This position plays a vital role in the movement of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of forklift operation best practices, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Logistics environment. You will be responsible for transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. Ensuring the secure and efficient movement of products is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate placement of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Follow all company procedures for material handling and storage.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company Logistics goals.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Strong emphasis on Safety and accident prevention.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to following all Safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
