Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will play a key role in our logistics operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and transporting goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Organize and retrieve inventory from warehouse racking systems.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all established procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to support logistics flow.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrable experience.
- Proficiency with sit-down, stand-up, and possibly reach forklifts.
- Ability to handle lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
- Willingness to comply with all PPE requirements.
