This position is key to ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You'll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and maintain organized storage areas. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform significant lifting up to 60 lbs. Experience in logistics or a similar fast-paced environment is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and PPE usage.
