We are hiring a dedicated Warehouse Worker in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is vital to our supply chain and involves a variety of essential warehouse duties. You will be instrumental in ensuring that goods are processed efficiently, from initial receipt to final dispatch. Key responsibilities include organizing inventory, fulfilling orders, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments. We foster a culture of safety, and all team members are required to wear and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout their shifts. This position requires the ability to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Experience in a logistics or warehouse setting is beneficial but not required, as we provide comprehensive training. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents.
- Sort and place inventory in designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders.
- Pack orders securely for shipment.
- Operate manual and powered equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Follow all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with regular inventory checks.
- Support team efforts to meet daily targets.
- Wear and use required PPE consistently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and frequent Lifting.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Understanding of Safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable wearing and using PPE.
