We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our thriving logistics facility in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be essential in managing the flow of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring efficient movement from receiving to dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Verify quantities and inspect received goods for damage, noting any issues.
- Transport materials to designated storage or work areas.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Perform routine checks on equipment for proper functioning.
- Wear all mandated PPE while performing job duties.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting, up to 50 lbs, is required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a material handler or similar warehouse role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing manual Lifting for extended periods. A strong adherence to Safety protocols is mandatory. Understanding of basic logistics and inventory control. Must be reliable and punctual.
