We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our Omaha, Nebraska location. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics functions. You will be responsible for moving, staging, and preparing materials for shipment, as well as receiving and storing incoming goods. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage locations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper material handling.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any necessary maintenance.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting (up to 55 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Good understanding of logistics and material flow within a warehouse.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
