We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our Orlando, Florida facility to manage and coordinate outbound shipments. This critical role ensures that all orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and carrier requirements. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. This position requires meticulous record-keeping, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. While not as physically demanding as other warehouse roles, there will be occasional lifting of packages up to 30 lbs. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines and the use of appropriate PPE is mandatory. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and possesses good problem-solving skills. Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, manifests, shipping labels).
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., sales, warehouse) and external carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Handle and manage incoming shipping documentation and invoices.
- Adhere to all workplace safety rules and wear required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including occasional lifting and moving of packages.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
