Join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a skilled Material Handler. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. A strong emphasis on Safety and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are critical components of this role. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular checks and system updates.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE, including safety footwear and gloves.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before use.
- Assist in maintaining the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Must be able to perform moderate Lifting of items up to 45 pounds. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are needed. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential. Must be at least 18 years old.
