Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Sort, organize, and stack materials to ensure efficient space utilization.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored according to established procedures.
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting of materials up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
