We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our Des Moines, Iowa distribution center. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, involving the movement and organization of a wide range of materials. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing items throughout the warehouse. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of PPE is strictly enforced. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure correct and consistent use of required PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehousing is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 60 lbs.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Reliable and punctual.
