Are you an energetic and detail-oriented individual seeking a rewarding role in our San Jose, California facility? We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our thriving logistics team. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include picking items from warehouse shelves based on order slips, carefully packing them for shipment, and ensuring that all orders are processed with speed and precision. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work quickly on your feet, and a keen eye for detail to minimize errors. You will be a key contributor to our supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Successful candidates will be adept at handling various types of products, understanding product codes, and utilizing warehouse equipment safely. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate packaging materials.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages accurately for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate hand trucks or other equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform frequent walking, standing, and moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
