We are looking for a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. This position is vital for the initial processing of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics chain. You will be responsible for inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and accurately documenting all received items. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify that the contents of each delivery match the packing slip and purchase order.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory system.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items to supervisors immediately.
- Tag and prepare incoming goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Be able to perform moderate Lifting of received goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics documentation is a plus.
