We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment or further processing within our logistics facility. This role demands physical stamina, a keen awareness of safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including banding, labeling, and staging.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all company safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar physical role is preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent stamina and physical fitness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient logistics operation.
