Join our dynamic warehouse team in Durham, North Carolina, as a Forklift Operator! This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will operate forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all operators to maintain the highest standards of equipment operation and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Transport products from receiving docks to designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control through accurate placement and retrieval of goods.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Meet productivity targets while upholding quality standards.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures and warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and operating machinery.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
