We are seeking an experienced and certified Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe operation of our high-density storage systems. You will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Accuracy in inventory placement and retrieval is essential for maintaining optimal warehouse flow and supporting order fulfillment. This position requires a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols. Strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. A valid reach truck operator certification and proven experience are required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move and position pallets of goods.
- Load and unload materials from racking systems and delivery vehicles.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory based on system instructions.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the reach truck.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Reach Truck Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
