We are hiring Picker/Packers for our bustling distribution center in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will involve navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specified items (picking) and then preparing these items for shipment by packaging them correctly (packing). Accuracy and speed are key to ensuring our customers receive their orders in pristine condition and in a timely manner. This position is a cornerstone of our logistics network, and your dedication contributes directly to customer satisfaction. You'll work with a team to maintain an organized and safe inventory. We expect candidates to be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or scanner instructions.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain productivity standards for picking and packing speed.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move products up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Must understand and follow all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
