Virginia Beach, Virginia, is seeking dependable Material Handlers to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing a variety of products. A strong emphasis on Safety is crucial; all team members must adhere to established protocols and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical fitness for tasks involving regular Lifting, along with proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The ideal candidate is meticulous, organized, and committed to contributing to a productive and Safe work environment. Experience in a warehouse setting is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Transport materials to appropriate storage locations using material handling equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory with accuracy.
- Load and unload vehicles for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear required PPE diligently.
Requirements:
- Must be capable of consistent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Prior experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe workplace.
