We are seeking a certified and experienced individual to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise to support our logistics and distribution operations. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from receiving to shipping. You will be expected to perform daily equipment inspections, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management functions, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Support shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Contribute to overall team productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven forklift operation experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
