Our logistics company in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to load, unload, transport, and store goods. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are essential. You will perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition and maintain accurate records of material movements. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and dedicated to maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Certification and experience operating forklifts are highly desirable. Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the mandatory use of PPE. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Team player with good communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
