We are seeking dependable Warehouse Workers for our facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial for the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled, stored, and distributed effectively. You will be involved in a range of tasks that contribute to the overall success of our logistics department. This is a physically active role perfect for those who thrive in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and stock incoming inventory.
- Retrieve items from shelves to fulfill orders.
- Package items securely for shipping.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, tidying, and organizing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Correctly wear and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform all duties with attention to detail and accuracy, including proper lifting techniques.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse or general labor experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Must be reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.
