We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics department, ensuring all outgoing shipments are handled with precision and care. You will be responsible for preparing shipment documentation, verifying order accuracy, coordinating with shipping carriers, and managing the final stages of the dispatch process. Key tasks include accurately labeling packages, scheduling pickups, and maintaining comprehensive shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. You will also play a role in ensuring that all shipments meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Safety is a top priority, so you must strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital part of our business and develop your skills in a professional logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate with carriers for timely freight movement.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Track shipments and provide status updates.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Assist with tasks that may require some Lifting.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role. Familiarity with shipping software and office productivity tools. Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Understanding of general warehouse operations. A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Capability to handle tasks involving occasional Lifting.
