In this role, you will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled with speed and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order sheets or scanning devices.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks to move inventory within the picking area.
- Stage completed orders for shipment and assist in loading trucks when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to general warehouse upkeep.
- Follow all company Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and carrying of packages, up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and basic warehouse technology.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
