Join our vibrant logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a Material Handler! We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to manage the movement of goods within our busy warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring that materials are efficiently and safely transferred between various points in the warehouse, supporting receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes. This position requires proficiency in operating material handling equipment and a strong commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any defects.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper handling and placement.
- Identify and segregate damaged goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Support shipping and receiving departments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and gloves.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory management is beneficial.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
