Join our dynamic **logistics** team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Shipping Clerk. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying the accuracy of outgoing orders. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a **safe** and efficient shipping environment. Proficiency in **logistics** software and adherence to **PPE** guidelines are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently using shipping software.
- Verify that all outgoing orders are correct and match shipping documentation.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Schedule pickups and coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and company policies, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Assist with **logistics** planning and problem-solving related to shipping operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or **logistics** coordination.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common **logistics** platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform **lifting** up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and the importance of **PPE**.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
