We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler in our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. This role is integral to the efficient operation of our logistics network, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to dispatch. As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment. You'll be actively involved in moving inventory throughout the warehouse, requiring physical exertion and the ability to handle significant lifting. Our commitment to safety is unwavering; all employees are expected to strictly follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Comprehensive training on safe material handling practices and equipment operation is provided. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and accurately store incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and deadlines.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and assist with loading trucks.
- Identify and report any damaged inventory or operational issues.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Capability to work effectively in a physically demanding role.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
