We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, picking them accurately, and preparing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work at a good pace are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Adhere to proper Lifting techniques for safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Assist with inventory control and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our Logistics processes.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehousing is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets or RF scanner instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity for physical activity, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Logistics is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
