Our St. Louis, Missouri distribution center is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our dedicated logistics team. This role is crucial for the efficient operation and movement of goods within our facility. As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include safely loading and unloading materials, transporting inventory to and from various warehouse locations, organizing stock, and assisting with general warehouse duties. You will operate material handling equipment, ensuring adherence to all operational procedures and safety regulations. We place a significant emphasis on Safety, and the correct use of PPE is mandatory for all personnel. This position requires physical strength and stamina, including the ability to perform substantial Lifting of items, often exceeding 50 pounds, and involves consistent physical activity. You will be an integral part of our logistics operations, working closely with a team to ensure timely and accurate handling of materials. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Organize and arrange inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required and trained.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Strictly follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Support the Logistics team in meeting operational goals and deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform regular and heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Experience operating common warehouse equipment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
